Ten Eyes of Dublin

Edited video offering the ‘lifelogged’ perspectives of 10 personas as they traverse Dublin city.

The TrinityHaus 10 Eyes of Dublin project involved 10 postgraduate researchers from the GREENprint research programme. Each researcher took on a persona and examined how these 10 different personas interacted with the same urban environment. It analysed the environmental impacts of these personas and looked at how Dublin city determines social and environmental behaviour.

CLARITY loaned Trinity Haus a SenseCam for the students to use within this project. The SenseCam gave a 1st person view of the persona as they embarked on a journey around the city, or a 'typical' day. This footage was complimented with a number of still photos taken of the environments they operated in.

I produced an edited video piece while compiled the data collected by the students. This was used in an installation displayed for one day in the Science Gallery in Dublin. Some stills from the video can be seen below.
